The Committees of the Liberal Party, Uniorrepublicano and Socialist Party met the night before last in the Alcaldía of Aguas Buenas under the presidency of the Mayor of said municipality, don Rafael González. The leaders of those Parties in Aguas Buenas are, respectively, don Alfredo Disdier, don Rafael Lasa and don Pedro Rosa.

The entire population gathered in the Ayuntamiento and, as befits every patriotic action, the flag of the Homeland was raised.

In this solemn local Convention, a resolution was approved requesting that don Antonio R. Barceló, President of the Liberal Party, don Rafael Martínez Nadal, President of the Unión Republicana and don Bolívar Pagán, President of the Socialist Party and of he who speaks, to immediately celebrate the Constituent Convention of the Republic.

Said resolution was communicated to us this afternoon by a commission that came expressly from Aguas Buenas.

This noble example will surely be followed by all the municipalities.

Already in fulfillment of what is in every way a national mandate, we had taken the initiative to promote a preliminary meeting between the different political sectors.

In that sense, we received today a telegram from don Emilio Soler, of MayagĂĽez, President of the Independentista Party, insisting on said necessity.
