The remedy is unique, and it is the independence of Puerto Rico. It is already clear to everyone that the economy is a content of politics. Only the government of the Republic will be able to resolve all its problems for the good of the Homeland. On September 23, 1868, the heroes of Lares taught us that history is written with the noblest blood of the nationality, and that independence, which is the supreme good of a people, is conquered only with courage and sacrifice. Nationalism goes to Lares to invoke the memory of the patriotic manes to fulfill its duty to constitute the free Republic, sovereign and independent of Puerto Rico.
